Philippines — With policy frameworks continuing to evolve alongside market conditions, the Philippine housing industry is set to examine key regulatory and market developments at the 34th National Developers Convention of the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA).
The convention will take place on September 16–17, 2026, at Marquis Events Place, BGC, Taguig City, Metro Manila, bringing together developers, policymakers, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Under the theme “Elevate: Sustaining Progress through Collaboration and Strategic Housing Innovations,” the event will focus on developments that affect housing projects, homebuyer demand, and the broader direction of the industry.
“The housing sector has never operated in a vacuum. Regulations shift, market conditions change, and developers have to keep up. That’s exactly what the convention is for. We come together, we share what we know, and we figure out the next steps as an industry,” said Engr. Francis Richmond Villegas, SHDA Chairman of the Board.
The regulatory environment remains an important consideration for developers. Recent policy adjustments, including updated socialized housing price ceilings, reflect continuing efforts to align housing policies with prevailing market realities.
